Productive! Comfortable! An office Fit for a CEO The Rising Damsel. #girlboss #career #success #comfort #office #work Whether you work at home or in the office, it’s important to surround yourself with some creature comforts to inspire your creativity. If you work at an office, bringing in some cubicle decor to make you feel more at home will lighten your mood. You spend a long 40 plus hours at your desk weekly. It should be a comfortable happy place.

Great cubicle decor ideas are here to save your boring space

With my tips you will achieve a creative workspace fit for earning millions!

1. Get a Plant

Even if it’s a cactus, get a plant.

Somehow that dang plant will work it’s way into your heart and become your loving friend.

Nature brightens your mood. Plants can also filter out indoor air pollutants. Why not chose a plant like lemon balm to tap into aromatherapy?

I’m literally excited for Mondays because I know my plant needs water.

A mini succulent garden is easy to care for and it will surely to be a conversation starter. Everyone needs a little feel good green in their life.

Cubicle Decor Idea 2. Keep Tea On Hand

Teas and instant coffees are my best friend. Most water filters have a hot water option.

Sip on your green tea antioxidants or pep yourself up with an instant cafe latte. These instant drinks will also save you money by avoiding the $5.00 (100$ a month ) coffee break.

Having something to sip on is important to keep you hydrated, and if it happens to be a tasty chai from home even better! This is my favorite green tea. It’s high quality and what the Japanese consulate drinks. Maybe a bit of a surprise from Kirkland, but it’s true.

Cubicle Decor Idea 3. Art

You spend 8 hours a day in a drab cubicle or a tiny office. Put some pictures up and give your space some character. There are so many different artists to choose from on Etsy.

A quick search will give you endless inspirational pictures, art, drawings, design, photography, etc. Anything you want is a pdf file away.

With ‘print now’ options you can print out your own little gallery, and hopefully inspire others to take pride in their workspace too.

Cubicle Decor Idea 4. Bring in Your Comfort

Are you wearing high heels? Wouldn’t it be awesome if you kept a pair of slippers in your desk? How about an extra fluffy sweater for when it’s cold?

My extras include a blanket, comfy shoes, and a small first aid kit. I also like to have on hand plenty of gum, a spare silverware set, microwaveable mug, salt, pepper and soy sauce.

Cubicle Decor Idea 5. Office Supplies

There’s no reason to surround yourself with the bland. Amazon has amazing kawaii inspired pens and stationery galore. You can also find kitschy notebooks, pens, paper, and magnets at craft stores. Do I use a super cute post-it note for an important meeting? NO. Do I invite a coworker to lunch with one? YES! These little sticky tabs stole my heart.

6. Ergonomics

Your friendly HR representative should have all the information about ergonomic options for the workplace. This is especially important for sitting office jobs.

Companies can order different keyboards, special padded chairs, wrist support, and even standing desks. There might be a bit of an approval process if what you need requires excess cash. Generally these basic items are just an office supply order away.

Due to the increased health concerns revolving around office jobs, companies are much more giving and understanding of your body’s health. In the meantime make sure you are also giving your eyes a rest by taking computer screen breaks. Office Fit for a CEO. Tips and tricks to make a happy productive officespace. 7. Make a Vision Board

When times seem bleak in the office, a little positivity goes a long way. A vision board should make you smile and it should include your dreams.

Visualize where you want to be. Not only will a vision board give you a clear indication of where you want to go, but as you succeed it will mark how much you’ve accomplished also.

Make sure your vision board includes emotional as well as monetary goals. Vacation spots, quotes, pictures of rainbows, financial goals, a dream home, a dream car, are all great things to include.

A Couple of Things to Consider for Your Cubicle Decor

8. Family Photos

Personally, I don’t want my family or my personal life on my employer’s mind. Innocent, cherished pictures can create certain biases for your co-workers. It could be jealousy, it could be anything.

I would keep pictures of loved ones close to your computer if you want them out. In my work from home office I thoroughly enjoy lots of pictures everywhere.

My favorite is my brother’s kindergarten picture; haha he’s 27.

9. Snacks

If you can’t control your snack intake, do NOT buy snacks to bring to the office. Of course healthy snacks, popcorn, carrots, grapes, a granola bar are fine.

What I’m really saying is don’t buy 10 pounds of chocolate from Costco every two weeks and then wonder where it all went. It’ll sneak it’s way into your mouth in times of boredom and stress.

10. Music

If you are able to listen to music, don’t use earbuds. 90’s headphones will work just fine. After a few months of earbud use I noticed a buzzing in my ears. I worked in a quiet office space and my volume never exceeded 50%. You could unknowingly be causing permanent hearing damage.
